Born into a multi-generational military and public service family, Lt. General (Ret’d) the Honourable Andrew Leslie, PC, CMM, MSC, MSM, CD, MA has been a soldier, business leader, and the Liberal Member of Parliament for the federal riding of Orléans. As a parliamentarian he was a member of the Privy Council, Chief Government Whip and Parliamentary Secretary focused on Canada-US relations, helping with NAFTA and other global matters.
As the former Commander/Chief of Staff of the Canadian Army, he has led very large organizations in both peace and war. He has worked as a senior Vice President of a large corporation and as a board director and consultant on leadership, governance, and risk management.
A graduate of numerous military courses on leadership, governance, weapons, ethics, strategy, tactics, complex equipment acquisition and risk management, his education includes the University of Ottawa (Economics), the Royal Military College (MA/Strategic Studies), as well as executive courses at the Harvard Business School and the Canadian Forces Colleges. Andrew is a recent graduate of the Institute of Directors Education Program from the Rotman School of Management.
In addition to working with Bluesky, Andrew is now active on several corporate boards and lives in Ottawa.
