Alyson Fair is an organized, analytical and detail-oriented communications and public relations professional with over 20 years of experience across the media industry. As a Senior Consultant at Bluesky Strategy Group, Alyson works closely with clients to develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies, including digital and social media initiatives. Her responsibilities encompass media relations, client communications, content production, and event management.
Before joining Bluesky in 2019, Alyson gained extensive experience as a Senior Producer for Power Play with Don Martin and the CTV National parliamentary news team. In these roles, she had firsthand exposure to a wide range of local, national, and international stories. Alyson played a key role in shaping these stories for the audience and built enduring relationships with politicians, their staff, and top political analysts. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of media dynamics and how they influence public perception.
Outside her professional work, Alyson is dedicated to supporting various causes in Ottawa, which has further honed her management and planning skills. She is a Director with World Press Freedom Canada and the Communications Director for the Ottawa South Basketball Association. Alyson holds degrees from Carleton University and Algonquin College and is pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations at the University of Victoria.
