Born in Greece, Angelo has lived, studied, and worked in three countries on two continents. Through his career in academia, the media industry, and the strategic policy sector, Angelo brings a diverse perspective to every file he works on.
At Bluesky, Angelo helps clients across a broad range of sectors, including consumer product manufacturing, agriculture, mining, associations, and non-profit organizations, navigate the policy and regulatory environment in Canada. He has been instrumental in effectively supporting clients in receiving regulatory approvals, securing landmark policy and legislative commitments, as well as accessing funding pathways and programs through broad visibility campaigns and targeted outreach programs involving political officials, legislators and key departments including Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Often working at the intersection of large cross-departmental priorities, Angelo has also helped clients build relationships with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Privy Council Office to initiate action on complex files and facilitate departmental collaboration, supporting clients in managing those complex relationships and interactions.
Prior to Bluesky, Angelo spent three years working with Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada focusing on communications and government relations and crafting extensive advocacy campaigns on the priorities of the biggest grocery manufacturers and the sector’s broader profile in Ottawa and nationally. This included issues like the Grocery Code of Conduct between suppliers and retailers in Canada, plain language labelling for pharmaceutical products, and front-of-pack labelling for food and beverages.
Angelo holds an MA in Political Science from Carleton University and a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Stirling in Scotland. He has served on multiple Boards of Directors and is an active community volunteer in Ottawa.
