Greg Loerts

Greg joins Bluesky after over three years working on Parliament Hill with the Conservative Party of Canada, most recently serving as a policy advisor.

In that role, Greg led policy files including Natural Resources, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, and Rural Economic Development and Rural Broadband, and was heavily involved in the Natural Resources and the Indigenous and Northern Affairs committees. Greg provided policy advice and briefings on a range of topics, including Indigenous economic reconciliation, criminal reform, firearms legislation, rural broadband development, energy security, and the responsible development of Canadian natural resources, encompassing mining, oil and gas, forestry, and renewables.

Greg has a passion for policy and legislative review and has spearheaded Conservative policy positions on numerous bills and policy proposals.

Born and raised in the Niagara region, Greg also spent time working for the Niagara Parks Commission before moving to Ottawa to begin a career in politics. He went to school at Redeemer University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science, History, and English, and received a Certificate of Leadership and Applied Public Affairs from the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa.
