Born in Brasília, Brazil, Manuela settled in Ottawa following the completion of her studies and joined Bluesky in 2021. Since then, Manuela has provided government relations support to both Canadian and U.S.-based clients across a variety of sectors and on a broad range of regulatory and legislative issues.
Much of her work at Bluesky focuses on navigating federal, provincial, and municipal mandates for sustainability – covering policies for the circular economy and energy efficiency, as well as for consumer product and supply chain standards – to help ensure the corporate environmental and social compliance of our clients. She also regularly assists our clients in their pursuit of government funding, which has included several successful applications in support of the trades and skills training. Through this experience, Manuela has become skilled in monitoring, analyzing, and synthesizing complex policy landscapes and frameworks for a range of stakeholders.
Having lived in five different countries and with an academic background in research, Manuela is highly adaptable, inquisitive, and analytical, which she leverages at every opportunity for the success of our clients and the Bluesky team.
Manuela holds a bachelor’s degree in global and international studies with a specialization in global politics from Carleton University, where she graduated with high distinction and in the top three per cent of students in the Faculty of Public Affairs.
