Nolan brings valuable experience to Bluesky after working with Rio Tinto’s External Affairs department. There, he played a key role in parliamentary committee preparation and government advocacy within the natural resources sector, particularly emphasizing critical minerals and sustainable technology. Before joining Rio Tinto, Nolan focused on public engagement and constituency outreach as a Communications Assistant for Scot Davidson, the Member of Parliament for York–Simcoe. His early career also includes an internship with the Conservative Party of Canada headquarters during the 2022 leadership race.
Throughout his career, Nolan has been actively involved in federal and provincial campaigns, both in his hometown of Gravenhurst, Ontario and Ottawa, specifically focusing on communications, social media management, and digital production.
Nolan relocated to Ottawa to pursue a Bachelor of Political Science at Carleton University. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, and learning about the past through documentaries and literature.
