Trevor joins the Bluesky team after a 30-year career in the federal Public Service. He started out as an assessment biologist in the Canadian Wildlife Service and held a variety of field-level operational roles in Environment Canada’s Atlantic, Ontario, Prairie and Pacific Regions before being appointed Director General of the Canadian Wildlife Service in Ottawa.
Following an Executive Interchange with the Forest Products Association of Canada, Trevor joined the Department of Fisheries and Oceans where he held Assistant Deputy Minister roles responsible for fisheries and habitat management, species at risk, law enforcement and science. He served as the Senior Vice-President of Operations for the Parks Canada Agency before leaving the Public Service to take up an appointment as “Practitioner-In-Residence” in the University of Waterloo’s Environment Faculty.
Trevor brings a wealth of operational and substantive expertise to the Bluesky team as well as a deep understanding of how the federal government system functions at the nexus between the political and bureaucratic realms.
